A workshop on turned boxes

Cedar Lakes

Business

The club received an EOC grant of $800 from the AAW. This will go toward the purchase of a Delta mini lathe, stand, tools, etc. from Craft Supply for $1152 delivered. The extra $352 will come out of the club’s general fund. A motion to give authority for this was made by E.J. Ulland, seconded by Tom Schottle, and passed unanimously. This lathe will be used for youth at the Mountain State Arts and Crafts Fair for working on small projects in the new "Make and Take" section of the Fair. Lathe safety and basic techniques will be stressed.

We will need additional volunteers at the Fair to man this new program in addition to our usual turning demonstrations.

The Mountain State Arts and Crafts Fair this year will run three days; July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Byron Young has found someone, T-Graphics, who can supply shirts with the club’s logo embroidered. A motion to give permission for our logo to be used was made by E.J. Ulland, seconded by Tom Schottle, and passed unanimously.
