Business

E.J. reported that there is $3004.06 as of Saturday morning in the treasury.

New Business: Clarence Clarkson discussed need for white board and was volunteered to take care of it. He said he could make one for about $40. Motion made, seconded and passed.

E.J. is collecting dues for 2009.

    The Annual 2009 Chapter Challenge

    The mission was to turn a hollowform following specific rules:

    There were six entries.

    First Place – Joe Smith – gorgeous footed burl hollow form with questionable lid

    Second place- Unknown turner – Ebonized Hollow form, w/ liming wax and threaded (hand chased, no less) stopper

    Third Place – Dave Jones - Bradford Pear hollow form

     

    Next Month’s Meeting

    Jim Morrison will discuss the Ring Cutter System in the morning, then in the afternoon Tom Schottle & Bill Morris will demonstrate Footed Bowls
